Whether it’s going out to a Mexican restaurant, taking a trip to a street-side taco truck, or even swinging by good ol’ Chipotle, sometimes I miss tortilla chips and salsa with a Corona on the side. Luckily, there are a few gems hidden around Florence that serve Mexican food. Here are two that I’ve tried:
Tijuana: This Mexican restaurant (located at Via il Prato and Via Ghibellina) serves great food, in my opinion. The frozen margaritas are insanely large and are garnished with small fruits. The prices are reasonable (think 7-15 euro for an entrée). I got a small plate of nachos with chicken and guacamole for 5.50 euro and ate it as my main meal. De-lish.
At night, I highly suggest grabbing a group of friends and taking “manchi shots.” Trust me, it is an experience in itself. First, make sure the right guy is there (he looks like Albert Einstein):
