And beyond all of these colorful coastal towns, views, amazing seafood and SUPER nice people, here are some of my favorite things about Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Another one of my favorite views is in Capri, which produces some of the best views you will ever see in your life. Especially at the peak of Monte Solaro (pictured above) where you'll literally find yourself above the clouds and you can look over the entire island and even see Mount Vesuvius in the distance.
Lastly, Sorrento is just a beautiful town all in its own. So is every other Italian town am I right? But there's something special about Sorrento and even the drive to the other coastal towns are simply amazing. Besides the terrifying cliffs that drop right into the water below, there is just constantly beauty all around and ample opportunities to take fantastic pictures (Remember what I said about endless Instagram opportunities?).
The last bit of our trip gives you the opportunity to explore either Pompeii or Naples...I would absolutely recommend going to see Pompeii, which is one of the worlds greatest archaeological sites. I couldn't say enough about how awesome strolling through the ruins are, it's just something you're going to have to do on your own, but definitely with friends. It gets super hot here because of all the rock here, so definitely bring water and food as there is not much shade. But overall, you'll have a great time. If you've already been to Pompeii or want to see Naples more, it's only about a 10 minute train ride away from Pompeii so check that out if you want!
FYI, check out Sorrento's English Pub, as well as the kebab shop right around the corner from it. They go hand in hand.
